Being over 18 won't help you. 29 over is gonna be your liscense is gone if the judge doesn't lower the speed. Class D is what matters, should have gone and gotten that class C. At least then you wouldn't be getting in trouble for the time violation. You'd still have the under 21 years of age so 4-point-offense or more means 6-month-suspension. Suspension in this case has nothing to do with driver's lisences class, it just aggravates the problem and guarantees the judge won't be nice to him. For those of you 21 and over who haven't replaced the "Under 21" logo around your liscense, the way the law is written that means you can't buy alchohol. There's not MUCH enforcement of that part, but it's there. The reasoning being that I could tamper with my liscense and swap a few parts and be magically over 21 a few months (or years) earlier, whereas that big Under 21 bar they add around everything is harder to get rid of.
In OP's case though, he's lucky he didn't get Reckless driving and get a 12 month suspension.
