C6's have more potential and also are a better bang for the buck when it comes to $$/hp ratio.

Take the cost factor out of it- Either will still be pricey to mod.

Which would you rather roll around in?

BOTH! That way you don't have to chose and compare... and then you will have an extra car for me to drive...

The S5 will be roughly on par with the e46 m3 performance wise, though will be beaten by the c6. However neither can touch it in terms of looks, build quality, and substance.

Is the S5's interior comparable to the RS4?

I know you love Audi's, but I think BMW makes a more reliable vehicle with a better warranty

I have no hopes of a 996 being cheap anytime soon, same with S5.

Its better than the rs4, newer, more modern layout, and more high tech gadgetry . I've honestly heard very few problems about late model Audi's. And their warranty is similar to BMW's 4 yr, 50k mile service. I'm on my 2nd A4 now, and neither car had any problems, and I drive the shit out of both.

I thought 996 turbos are in the 50's now? I believe I even saw one in the high 40s on Ebay not to long ago.

Yup, they're in the 50's for a decent one like they've been for quite some time.

I'm with tiger on getting a 996tt but out of the two i would say go with the M3. More refinement and better build quality when you're going with a german car over an american car. Driving german just feels a lot nicer

You miss it too huh? I've been riding around in my dad's 95 stock ass neon that burns / blows oil as a favor while he's been sick, my car has 3x the hp and with the new torque converter will have IMMENSELY more torque. Shit I can't wait to start working again and throw a cam and a 9" rear in that motherfucker and run 12's. I already run 13's.

I need it to be able to turn on, have a radio, and be able to stop.

(Stopping is a must, I commute in heavy traffic)
