Leisa Update- ***LATEST UPDATE on pg 8***

Hey guys, First off, to ALL of you who came out, which my god so many of you did, people I never even met nor Leisa has ever met came out tonight to give support, You are amazing. To those of you praying for her.... PLEASE DO NOT STOP, PRAY EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT FEWS DAYS, this is the most critical time. When we left the pressure in her brain went up from 108 to 122 which was not good but I just got home and they say they have it back to 108 again.

Jaime was holding her hand and talking to her tonight and many say (And a few Nurses said her heart rate goes up when you talk to her because she can hear us) When Jaime and I went into see her before we left she went a pulse of 98 to 108 and started what we seem to think was her attempting to squeeze his hand, I kept asking her to do it again and she would. Now please relaize she is in a Coma but from all signs that we see, she can hear us while in it and her hand movement says to me she is fighting and wants me to know she is still there. When we left, they actually had to sedate her because her pulse was going up and she was trying to move, which they do not want her body to move because it puts stress on her brain, But I am not expert and maybe I am grasping at signs, But to me it seems like she was fighting it after we left, and the nurse did say when I called, this may be a good sign, But still to early to know. Within a few days they will wean her off sedation to see if she will come out of the Coma, But we are not close to being out of the woods, Her brain has to allow her to wake up, and that still is a big concern if it will happen. But tonight I think the prayers you all are doing and the support to all who came out (I couldnt take many of you in there to see her due to it would put stress on her brain and body, I told her how many people and who was out there, and as loud as they all were, maybe she heard them)

IA, You have totally blown me away with your support for me and my wife in a time when I am scred to death I am going to loose her. Thank you for ALL your support.

P.S, they still do not show she has feeling or movement of the left side of her body, but when and of she wakes up, they will determine more on that issue and if she will ever regain it. At this point, I just want her back, any way I can ger her. Her days of being able to work are over though.

She is at Northside Hospital, 1000 Johnson-Ferry Rd, Atlanta, ICU #17. It is right across the street from St. Joseph's Hospital, right off 285 and 400.

Brett, stay strong. Try to remember Leisa as how you know her and not the person laying in that bed. She will come through this and hopefully she will one day be able to read how many people believed in her. Don't worry about what may happen with her paralysis right now because that is what rehab is for and as sure as she's pulling this off, she will have the strength and courage to be back to herself again.


It really is amazing how for all the bickering and petty shiit that we all engage in here on IA, that everyone has found a way to come together in your time of need.

Okay guys, Next update..... No change overnight, which I will take as good. The pressure in her head went back down to normal again, and did not try and raise overnight. She is still in the Coma, and like I said... Thats the hurdle for her to come out of it. I will be up there today through Sunday.

I can not begin to express to you all, those of you who have out, shown support on here, or with donations, with prayers, EVERYTHING!! You all are the best I could ask for. I am lucky to have so many people who care and I hope..... Let me try and think positive, THAT WILL pull her through this. She needs to come back.... To me, To everyone. I will tell her when I get there about you all.

If I dont update this I will call Jamie or someone to give new updates now that I will be at the hospital for the rest of the weekend.

Hi Brett. It's great to hear she's responding. When I was talking to her, her right shoulder lifted (wasn't a jerk). I told her that I needed to see the smile that she ALWAYS has on her face. I have to work this weekend but we will be there to see her (and you) again as soon as we can (probably Sunday morning). Hang in there and call me with any questions you may have.

Brett, it was an honor to come out last night to be a part of this great group of people coming together to show you and Leisa the support you both so very much deserve. It was truly amazing to see the size of the group that was there last night after 11pm on a Thursday night. That is humanity at its finest right there. Brett, there were so many positive vibes there last night that Leisa most definitely should pull through this. She'll fight through this and prove that good things can happen to good people.
