i just got back from the hospital... Brett is in good spirits and surrounded by alot of great friends... She is responding very slightly to the people that have been in there to see her.. but they are trying to keep her quiet and rest as the swelling did go back up again earlier this evening.. but they are keeping her stable

Sorry to hear this. I met you two a few times awhile back (the first time was at that car show at the high school in conyers back in 2001) You two were always very cordial to me and my son, kindness like that is becoming a rare quality in people. I will be thinking of you guys and hope for the best.

I have tried to let people know I cant bring every person who shows up to see her due to brain can not have to much stimulation, noise, etc... But some people I am trying to get in there for her to hear thier voices and I tell her about each person who came to see her who wasnt able to make it in there.

Latest update:
Last night, Leisa responded to our conversation....(don't yall wish yall knew what she and I talked about.....). So much so, that she had to be sedated a little to bring her heart beat, which went from 98 to 108, back down and make her relax. We're taking that as a "good" sign. She had a little swelling on her brain, which was some cause of concern, but they started medication to control that right away. By the time we left, it was back down to the acceptable level. Again, "good" news.
This morning, situation was relatively unchanged, which again is better than the alternative. They did discover a slightly elevated level of something in her kidneys, but the results of that will not be in until later this afternoon. I don't think this is cause to be alarmed right now either, but we'll know for sure when the results come in later today.
She is relaxed and still responding to certain people. Brett is continuing his bedside vigil and will be there all weekend long. Anyone wanting to visit with him is welcomed to. Please make note of the visiting hours and gauge accordingly.
Prayers are STILL NEEDED, so let's keep that going. Financial help is STILL NEEDED, so keep that coming too. Overall support has been fantastic, so KEEP THAT COMING TOO.
I'll keep everyone updated.

Ms. Leisa's condition hasn't changed, which again is rather "good" news, but something really cool happened today.......
A nurse was trying to apply something to the inside of her mouth, and Leisa lifted up her arm and tried to swat it away!!!!!
Leisa tried to pimp slap the nurse........WORD!!!!!
The prayers and thoughts are working folks. Keep it up.
