    Default Need help with a simple diagram!

    I am looking to get a switch and needed help answering a question about it.

    The switch allows for two "products" to be wired up and turned on with only one switch. My question is that when i turn on the switch on are the two "products" going to cross or stay separated through the switch?

    Here is what the switch looks like:



    and here is a link to the pdf showing a diagram. what I am questioning are the blue dashed lines below the "wiring diagram"

    The switch couldn't be more than a few bucks. I'd get the switch, and then ohm it out and find out for sure. I would say that both sides of the switch will have polarity.

    yeah i know its not but a few bux...i just want to make sure and one trip to the store, as i could just get two switches but would rather only wire 1...

    They will stay in series, the blue lines simply indicate that both poles will move together.

    truthfully im trying to turn OFF my speakers ON my trunk lid while my trunk is closed and turn them on when its open. I don't want to cross the signals as i dont want to have mono sound from the trunk speakers.
