I was the one that brought it up in the mods forum. I didn't think it was appropriate for you to use the N word. I don't think it's funny, cool, or acceptable. I know that everyone at some point and time has heard jokes that included that word and found them funny. I have myself. But to call people that directly is in MY opinion unacceptable. You want to TRY and be funny by using that word, cool. Your perrogative totally. It is also MY perrogative to not like it and take action accordingly. I brought it up to all the other mods attention when I saw it, I asked what they thought of it, and it was unanimously agreed that you should get a time out for it. Matter of fact, even though I brought it up.....I didn't ban you either.
Bottomline is that if you or anyone else sees something that they deem offensive, there is a little icon on the post itself you can hit which will forward a link to all the mods in order to correct the problem. You keep complaining about some offensive posts, yet I've never ONCE gotten a notice of any posts YOU find offensive. So the only person to blame on that is YOU.
People make what THEY think are "jokes" on IA everyday that have either direct or indirect racial remarks. How many times do people not use "beaner", "chink", and now the N word???? Is it funny? Dunno. But there will always be a limit to what you can do on IA and there will always be someone somewhere that cries about that. This is one of those cases IMO.
You got banned and to be honest.....I agree with the ban. You like to say things to get a rise out of people for some reason I can't see. So now, just suck it up and live by the same sword you like to wield around.
