People who trash domestics for not being able to handle are morons. Most people, who know anything about cars or have been around tracks, know what cars are fast and what cars aren't. It's funny how you mention the 350z crowd. I remember an argument on here where members of my350z.com all swore that a 350z would beat a 03/04 cobra "on the track."

The same goes for domestic owners that trash imports for being slow/weak (lack HP/TQ). Either car can be potent on the street, strip, or the track. It is all a matter of how the car is built. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. I would say that a true car enthusiast will respect a properly built car, regardless of whether its a domestic or import.

If your car was built specially for the strip, then I wouldn't expect it performance well on a road course. The same goes for any situation. Build a car for whatever purpose you want and enjoy it.

Never said you couldn't do a combo. Hell, I recommend you go for broke and do it all.

But, like said, build it for what you want and enjoy it.
