Why is the Vauxall VXR Monaro ... which is the exact same car as the GTO LS2 ranked # 72 on their list...

but a 350z is ranked 82...

An s2000 ranked 131...


And tons of other little rice rocket POS 4 cylinders ranked slower?


The s2000 did run under wet conditions.... but the correction factor for that track seems to be about 4-5 seconds according to other sources on the net.

The Subaru was 1.8 seconds faster... AWD really does own.



And the sad thing is the top gear test track is pretty tight cornered.. it seemed as if the s2000 and the 350z were the most godly track cars as you guys want to claim they are... they would have beaten the lowly Goat?





Sad thing a damn stock c5 Corvette from 1997 will outrun that car around their course also.

Might wanna check this out and get some info on that Monaro. Specs on the car are not the same as the GTO, only similar is the powerplant. Everything else is different: Suspension, Trans gearing, front fascia, etc.

The same goes for domestic owners that trash imports for being slow/weak (lack HP/TQ). Either car can be potent on the street, strip, or the track. It is all a matter of how the car is built. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. I would say that a true car enthusiast will respect a properly built car, regardless of whether its a domestic or import.

If your car was built specially for the strip, then I wouldn't expect it performance well on a road course. The same goes for any situation. Build a car for whatever purpose you want and enjoy it.

The GTO is a heavier car, so for you to analyze that the GTO has a worse suspension than a 350z is preposterous. Your comparing a car with 200hp to a car with 400.
