    Default bmw suck....

    i bought a lightly used e46 in jan for my DD and have had nothing but issues since day one. it is the biggest piece of sh!t i have ever owned. (had to have new sensors, cats, o2, gas cap, etc in the first month of owning) so yesterday just driving and suddenly feel like i drove over something, but i know i didn't. battery light comes on, then car starts to run hot... pop the hood and see all of the radiator fluid just flowing out of the car. thinking it was just a belt which would of been awesome, oh no. idler pulley broke and smashed into resevoir and broke it as well. needless to say after having the car towed + fixed = 525$.

    WORD OF ADVICE - I HAVE OWNED 2 BMW, 1 BENZ, 6 VW, 4 HONDA, AND 1 FORD... BMW ****ING SUCK!!! THEY HAVE LOADS OF COMFY OPTIONS AND LOOK NICE AND DRIVE NICE, BUT THEY ARE OVER PRICED POS.

    I will hopefully have another real euro soon and be rid of this turd, i'm thinking VW, Audi, Benz, or Lotus are in the near future.

    honestly the car drove perfect, engine clean enough to eat off of, 1 previous owner w/ records, low miles... only issues i knew about were it was a smokers car and passenger window regulator was going (which is common in these cars)

    Why is it that the average german car holds no less than 6 qts? Those damn M3's hold like 13 qts or something stupid. What's so wrong with 5 qts and let it go? German cars do suck...

    test drove A5 today, planning on going to drive a new c350... A5 is absolutely beautiful but it is a slug. for 45-50k honestly it isn't worth it. i am kinda dissappointed in new audi's very $$$ for not alot of performance. you have to get into the 70k range to get a 400hp car. i think if i was gonna buy an audi i would consider a used RS6 450hp bi-turbo used in the 30's

    Once you sat in the A5, I think you're going to hate the interior in the C350, cause its trash lol. S5s are pretty quick, 0-60 under 5, 1/4 mile in the low 13s. And they start at $50k, which isn't bad.

    ya the benz is a totally different car, but for 50k i can get new Elise and do 4.4-4.7 depending on model so apples/oranges

    what about a lexus ISF? but the S5 is more about style than performance. when the car looks that good, performance doesnt matter that much. lol its got a 400 hp engine anyway, goes good enough. atleast for me it does.

    actually it has 350hp 4.2L v8... but you can get same performance out of a 20k GTI w/ k04 upgrade + software ... you might not look as good but you will when in the 1/4

    it really depends on how much money your willing to spend, and what your criteria is for a new car. i still dont trust AUDI, they are not a very reliable brand of cars. from my experience anyway.

    What does your experience consist of? I've had my 07 A4 for about 1.5 years now, with 24,000 hard driven miles on it. 0 problems.

    ya with a even bigger price tag, so then a person has to ask himself/herself

    rs5 or C6 Z06 (maybe even zr-1 depending on price of the rs5)
