This was the first drifting event that I had been to. Having been to Road Atlanta the previous weekend for the Mitty, I can offer some comparisons. The drift event was not as well supported as the vintage race. Not as many port-a-potty’s, fewer venders.
I liked the drift cars; there is defiantly a tremendous amount of skill in driving the cars. There was a lot of nice cars in the infield, although, I think the 240s painted flat black, with their front end removed to revel the intercooler were ugly. May be fast, but still ugly.
The crowd of people remained me of a NASCAR crowd. Most people were there to have a good time, but some got on my nerves. Makes me wonder if I really want to go to NOPI after all.
