Springs cant really be installed incorrectly. There are little notches that help align them in place. Anthony it wasn't the drop. I had S. Tech's on my tC on the stock struts and the first strut just blew out a month ago. That's over a year of aggressive driving with springs with the highest spring rates you can get on stock struts. He may have been telling the truth cause I know I almost made that mistake installing mine but the kid seriously could have avoided all this by getting off his stupid lazy ass and doing it himself. If you don't own a set of socket wrenches then you really don't need to be modding a car. I say this because you have to at least have a good understanding of your car. I have never owned a car that I didn't know a good deal about. Not too mention this kid is 16 what the hell is he doing on here? Shouldn't you be pulling the ban stick out about now?
