    Default Craigslist Rants/Horror Stories?

Post up if you have dealt with some sketch assholes on craigslist.

Yesterday I drove to meet a guy in Sugarloaf Country Club who verbally agreed to sell me a road bike for $200. I get to the gate call him, and a guy in the background says "nahhhh mang i cant do that. can't do that." So the guy says "its sold," I said "is it really sold or does he not want to sell it?" He says well he wants $400. WTF I drive all this way on a **** alignment with bent wheels and they tell me this.

30 mins later he calls back and says he can do $300. It's practically a brand new bike that retailed for $1300. I know i should do it, and if i dont someone else will but im really pissed about all that. Someone with a $2,000,000 house shouldnt be such a **** about 200.

I sat in traffic for 2hrs to go look at a car, get there, and the guy says someone bought it an hr ago. I was so pissed, and cussed him out for not telling me someone else was already coming to look at it. I would of had him call me back if that person wasn't interested before wasting $30 in gas and (3.5 hrs round trip). He had my #, he could of called me and told me to turn around at least.

-Update : bought the bike. Guy was loaded, his nephew was suppose to post it for him for $1000 but did $200. He drove downtown, so glad it resolved itself.

I'd be furious and probably hit someone.

Yeah I think I will. Then post it up on craigslist right when I get back for $300 more than I paid. Then after that post up his phone number on ia or make craigslist ads with his number at the bottom.

Here is an IA horror story.

Bought $1000 wheels, turns out two of them were bent. Now here I am rolling on two bent wheels ($300 to fix) and the guy wont answer his phone. So TTNSX if you are out there, DIAF you *******.

This one time i was selling a car and i drove from marietta to gwinnett for this guy to take a look at it. I get there and its this high school kid, who "forgot" to tell his dad about all the problems that were clearly listed/had pics on my ad, like how it was 3 different colors, had a big dent, etc. As soon as his dad sees my car he is like "oh hell no". Then he asks me how i expected to sell a car that ****ty and tells me im wasting his time. WTF!!!!! I go off on him and tell him about how i sent pics and everything to his son, how i drove to meet him at his house, how its a big waste of MY time, and i ask him wtf he expected to buy on a $1500 budget (thats all his son had)...

One time I was trying to buy a Festiva from this guy off of craigslist and I checked it out and everything and had the cash in hand and was ready to buy it right then. But he asked me if could I wait until tomorrow so he could talk it over with his wife. (I didn't haggle with him or anything, just cash in hand) Well, I didn't really think much of it, so I told him ok and I'd give him a call in the morning. So I called him the next day and told him I was coming to pick it up and had a tow truck with me and everything. So, he was like "ok, cool, see you when you get here". So, anyways when I get there I didn't see the car. Then the a$$hole comes outside and has the nerve to tell me that he just sold the car. Then he tried to shake my hand and say "my bad man". So, me having driven all this way again and still having to pay the tow truck, am furious, decline his handshake and beat his ass...
