Default Soo, whats the point of this??

So, coming back from the body shop I saw this and took a shot. I just don't understand why someone would do this . I've heard of people even cutting into the frame to make these big ass rims fit on the car. He couldn't even make the turn. Would you rather see ricers or this ****?

Some also put the car on a truck frame to fit the wheels. I see a lot of times the car has a wavy paint job, messed up interior, with speakers sitting on the dash hanging on by the wires, and yet they have thousands of dollars in wheels... I would like to know why also.

Except the fact that most of the "ricers" are the ones causing wrecks making it where cops don't like people hanging out in a lot of places. People on 485 inch wheels don't usually make a big scene in causing trouble.

IF they are done right they can be hot. But the donk scene is just like the tuner scene, you have the "doin it right" guys, and the opposite.

I'd rather see Donks. They make me lirl. Next time you see one, look at the size of the brakes compared to the size of the wheels. I bet money you will LIRL.

exactly what i was gonna say. well done it can be appreciated, but a rusted out caprice that you buy for $1,200 sitting on $5000 in rims is retarded.

I think it is funny when you see them in the parking lot of the unemployment office or walfare office, while the car that the person is driving has wheels that are measured in feet instead of inches... At least people have their priorities straight!!!

I sound ignorant because of what I have seen? I personally know a lot of people that drive donks or whatever, but yet they haven't had a job in over a year. Yes they have money, obvoiusly. But when I have talked to them, a lot of them tell me they are hurting for money because they put everything they had into the wheels. But to each his own. Just my opinion and what I have seen.

Its not bs. A Donk is a 70's model caprice because the back of it slopes down like a donky. The 80's caprice is a Box because its...well...boxy. A 90's caprice is a bubble for the same reasons an 80's caprice is a box.

I sh*t you not when I tell you this. Last weekend I went by Barnacles on Barrett Pkwy and saw a car with 20"+ wheels on it that had HUGE fake brake discs behind the rim. Seriously, the fake disk was probably the size of an 18" rim. I should have gotten a pic because it was hardcore lulz.

yeah I think it was somewhere around 74-76... I guess the word "donk" has actually turned into whatever definition the user wants it to be. Some people say it is just a "custom car with gigantic custom wheels"...

so pretty much to be in this field... you must have

    1. Rims the size of a ferris wheel.
    2. Suspension made for a rock-crawler
    3. A PA speaker in the grill
    4. Two 15's with no sound insulation in the trunk
    5. Some "pipes"
    6. Some type of candy/drink logo on the side
    7. and some kind of fucced up looking two-tone interior

    right???
