ya but thats why each shop brings 2 cars, 1 car just shows you can build, multiple car shows your shop can back up what it builds. And i know MM beat one of the AAP suprasOriginally Posted by RotiEatter

Val for President.
Paul, that's all fine and good except you are forgetting one thing:
There are a couple of shops that already compete head-to-head in the NOPI tour week in and week out. There is a points race there and at the end of the season it is easy to see who did better that year.
So again, there would be really no gain for those two shops that already race each other, and BTW they get along too, 10 times a year.
Why would a shop put their $10, 20...hell even 50K motor/car on the line when they already do? For bragging rights?? To be honest, that wouldn't be enough incentive for me personally. If I had $50K tied up in a race car that already drives all over the country to race every other week, why would I risk blowing it up to settle an internet pissing contest??????
Now, if we are talking about shit talking customers and crazies who wanna do a track day to settle their beef with X, Y, or Z.......that would be different. Why is that different? Because 99.9% of the internet drama is started by the cheerleaders and not the shop owners. So, if they started the shit, let them finish it in a way that is definite. Taking a video camera to do a 60-120 roll on 85 is NOT RACING. Too many excuses and variables that one day net one winner based on the excuse of the day.
I still say: You wanna talk shit and start internet drama, fine then. Somebody will eventually take offense to your shit talking and then call you out. You wanna settle it? Go to the track day and settle it there. In front of God and Country for all to see. If you have the stuff to back it up, good for you keep shit talking then. It's not bragging if you can back it up. If you don't have it, you'll look like the tool you are and hopefully you'll of learned your lesson about shit talking.
Forget all the rules and classes and.....you don't like somebody in particular.....call that bitch out and go run. Simple. What's the problem with that?
If a shop doesn't like another shop for some stupid ass reason, try and settle it like grown folks. Look the other person in the eye and tell them TO THEIR FACE...I don't like you and here's why. There's only two responses to something like that: FU or let's talk. If you wanna talk then talk. If you wanna prove you're faster than they are, call them out and show up to race. 1 on 1 somewhere where the numbers don't lie. How hard is that?
All this....that shop fucked my sister, the other shop kicked my dog, that other one smells funny.......that's all freaking GAY. Shops are people's livelihood. That's how they feed their families. Don't be a fag and try and ruin someone's livelihood w/o having the balls to do it to their face. IF you have the balls, then that's life. Life is harsh sometimes. IF you don't have the balls and are some kind of keyboard warrior, the STFU
.
I'm in a bad mood today. Can yall tell????![]()

Tons of great valid points, but those shops who already race this is great advertising for your shop... as i posted in a previous thread there are 4 shops who have made names in racing: MM, Batl, ISP, & AAP. Me peronsally being a customer of some of the shops i would love to see them race other shops i don't go to just for funOriginally Posted by Jaimecbr900

while i understand where jaimie is coming from, heres my .02
unless im misunderstanding you, and that is completely possible.......
If a shop doesnt want to put there 50$K car on the line then thats fine, i understand. but what makes you think they would put it on the line if username "XXXX CALLS OUT insert shop name here"

No Val, what Paul was mentioning was that Sam from MM beat Yamil from AAP. They both run in the Turbo 6 Sportsman class. They've gone head-to-head a couple of times. They always run neck and neck most of the time.Originally Posted by Dragonfly5338
Chris from AAP runs in the PRO Street tire class. Different classes all together.
BTW, I'm just clarifying and NOT shit talking. Yamil has beat Sam before too, so it's not about that.
They wouldn't. The SHOP wouldn't want to waste their time doing that.Originally Posted by vteckidd
That's why I said that 99% of the internet drama isn't REALLY about shops. It's about individual shit talkers that speak on BEHALF (or so they say) of the SHOPS. Get it?
That's why I'm saying that shit talking is easy to settle. You settle it the same way you deal with any other drama or bully you come across. You call their bullshit out and hope you have enough nads to back your shit up or it ends up backfiring on you. It's that simple.
If you notice, very few comments are made by the actual shop owners and those few comments are usually in direct defense of someone making the shit talking personal. Men will be men after all. I don't fault them there. But the majority of the time, the real players don't even care enough to fight on the net.
^ dude you don't want to see shop X vs. shop Y??? dude this shit would be awesome make it a yearly event towards the end of season Oct/Nov and run the shop cars so we the scene can see what they are putting out. And you make it fair invite all of the shops so competition is tight, those who don't show, that will speak for its self![]()
i understand where Jaime is coming from. AAP prob wouldnt enter there all out drag car, its not worth it to them, what if a tranny or motor blows? then they just wasted $7-8k on a race that gets them nothing but recognition, but they get enough recognition at the LEGAL track events all year long.
but in the same sense, i would love to see everyone enter. i dont have a 100K drag car to blow up, the most important expensive thing on my car is the Header![]()

Fuck
This is so lame... let Paul take care of it
If a shop doesn't want to particapate, they won't. It's not a huge deal. It's not like they are competiting for the fastest car in Georgia or something.
Fuck all shops anyways, they all suck ass. Street cars are the best.
Like I said, it looks great on paper. It would be fun to do. No doubt.Originally Posted by admin
I'm also being realistic. It costs money to have a car of that caliber. No shop around here has "Efantis or Titan or Arlsanian" written on their doors. In other words, all the shops around here don't just have race cars laying around and spare motors sitting waiting on bad things to happen. When the bad things happen, they have to reach in their own pockets, buy expensive ass parts, and spend a ton of time R&R'ing broken stuff. They put up with that when there are sponsorships or championships on the line. But "bragging rights"???? That doesn't always pay the bills my friend.
Again, I'd love to see it if for nothing else to quiet all the shit talkers, but realistically it's going to be up to the same cheerleaders and shit talkers that started the whole thing to squash it.
That's why I was saying that a track day would be awesome, for the shit talkers to squash their shit once and for all.
we can all wish and wonder but I think even if this did happen, nothing would be resolved. conflict is at the heart of competion. shops hate each other everywhere. this would only lead to a slew of more talking and bashing and then there would have to be another SHOP WAR with different cars or better versions of the previous. but I am just repeating what has already been said. I am wondering too why has it not been mentioned the number of "quality cars" that these shops produce as a factor? one great car does not make a great shop, on the same token a bunch of mediocre cars doesn't either. the one dyno car and one drag car is a good idea but I don't think it can capture what a shops capabilty is. AAP could enter the same car then. who else is going to make 1100 whp and run 8 secs? at the same time I doubt that they could match MM 250 honda'sI guess what I am saying is, Atlanta is a huge city. Yall should be happy to exsist here and profit. back where I am from (bumblefuck) the hottest car was a Chevy Vega with a 396 and a blower running 10's. that was tubbed and slicked too.
The True test would be a multi day mutli task event. Like Sport Compact Cars Ultimate Street Car Challenge. Let everyone pick sides that wants to pick sides. And then run what you brung. Obviously this is a task that requires HUGE amounts of money and organization. but that is the only true way to sovle this, temporarily.the same shit starters would probably punk out for one and not put thier $$$ where their mouth is and then be right back on the forum stirring it up.

I wish Atlanta shops had pro cars when ours was out.We ran out of money too soon I guess or maybe we were just ahead of our time. Now we're just some poor ass drifters, which apparently doesn't prove anything.

Why can't we just have another Tunerfeat? Its local. Why would a shop build cars and not show up to something local on their own accord? It seems like when you build a car you would like to test and tune at least.
BTW, the Evo may (just an assumption since it's not done yet) only get 1 pass before it gets kicked off the track. We're not going to put a roll cage in it. It's a "true street car".
I only read the first couple and last page of threads in the whore's lounge.Originally Posted by Jaimecbr900
