That CSL was modified, not stock. You can't talk Apples to Apples when that happens.

You are comparing times of a modified CSL to times of stock cars. The radicals, for the most part, are not street legal from what I remember. They are not street cars.

as i remember alot of cars dont have air bags, b/s b/s b/s. crash bars? the thing is a carbon/tub chassis with race seats and belts. a atom is also street legal here. and the guy drove the car to the track, ran it ON the track, then drove it home.

NEW cars have to have air bags, emissions, crash bars, etc. I know that you are young, but don't argue with me here.

Yes, I know. I went back and changed it after I figured out what you were talking about. I am talking about vehicles that have production dates (new) since '96 or '00 or '04, etc. The federal government has been making a lot of changes.

For example, every car made in '96 and up have to comply with the ODBII standard for their ECUs if they are to be sold in the US. This is to control emissions.

However, the US wants Porsche to put in another airbag and Porsche won't do it. Thus, they told the US to "**** themselves" and will no longer sell the car here (last I heard).
