AWD is only better in some instances when it comes to launches. AWD cannot mimic the geometry of a rwd car. It forces the engine to sit higher and farther front of the car. When the engine is pushed back and sits lower it puts less torque on the front wheels, if that makes sense. The farther front the wheels are, the better. Cant do that with all wheel drive. And thanks to subaru we don't have to worry about the car acting like a FWD car.

However I will agree if you go hot into a corner AWD will understeer like a FWD car.
