i finally got my first speeding ticket. 63 in a 40. i hope my insurance isnt going to go up too much, i already pay 207.50 / month for liability.
oh, and the **** wrote me up for my brake light being out. ******.

im trying to figure out a way to get out of the speeding one. i think i can use the fact that he threatened me with made up charges. like at first he said "were you racing ur buddy back there?". my friend derek in his 240 was following me and wasnt even very close behind...
and then he said "son, do you know how fast you were moving back there?" and i said not exactly. so then he said "i clocked you at 91 at the top of the hill" which is BS my car BARELY even goes 85. so he ended up writing me a ticket for 63 which is still probably faster than what i was actually moving. plus i was going downhill and there was an unmarked car next to me going just as fast. i know this b/c he pulled in to talk to the cop who pulled me over.
you guys think i can get out of it?

this is why i keep spare bulbs in the car. Around here, cops are notorious for stopping you for equipment issues. In addition to wanting to search the car.
i got searched once and put on the ground in cuffs for NOTHING. i got no ticket or anything. and i dont smoke or anything so they didnt find anything. it was bs.
and it doesnt make sense to fine somebody for having a light out. thats money that i could be using to fix the light... i didnt even know it was out.

speeding is difficult to get out of. I'd expect your insurance to jump 50-100 a month rough estimate.
