didnt know that, cops just told me if i wanted to make a silencer for my 30-30 it would be a felony charge for me. cause i wanted to make a silencer so i could hunt quietly. plus, the extended barrell balances the gun so it doesn't have so much jump.

You are not allowed to make one for any gun. You have to buy one that is made for the gun. Its about $600-1000+200tax and has its serial numbers so it can be registered.

I was debating on buying a .50bmg since anyone that can own a gun can buy one, but then I found out you can only shoot them in designated areas that allow you to fire one. Meaning, you cant go on a friends farm or even your own farm and shoot one, since they are lethal at over 5miles.

I looked into those, but they look too much like an ar15, which they are partly made up of, and are too short for my taste. If I got a bmg it would be with the longest barrel, one you assemble in the field. One people would look at and be like " Ok, now wtf is that!"
