That's why they make wasp + hornet killer that sprays 20 ft. Just wait till dusk, and hit the hole from a distance. That's how I got rid of my yellow jackets last year. It will foam up and keep them from coming out, all while killing them. Sometimes it can take 2 treatments (2 nights)
