Just because there are bigger things in the world, doesn't mean that what he has allegedly done is right or should go unpunished. It sounds like you're saying that you shouldn't care if someone robs you and they shouldn't go to jail, because there are bigger things out there, like terrorists. Yes, there are relatively bigger things in the world, but killing dogs for sport isn't right either, soul-less or not. And he needs to be held accountable, if he's guilty.
