whats a casual user i used to get high on a weekly basis in middle/hs??? but pot isn't addictive as it is something to do, so casual is probably the term for all pot users. And you said 2lbs, oz of coke, & sheet of acid, etc... that is alot on a DAILY BASIS!!!

and what you don't know about me, there used to be a farm behind rivershyre we used to get our pot from, b/c thats where it all was coming from around this area, also one of neighbors got busted when we were in hs for dealing coke... beyond all of that i'm from miami not here and my parents used to deal, they stopped using/selling when my older sister was in hs. they used to smoke up w/ her friends

Someone made the comment that potheads don't smoke just a little bit. Some don't but I had a good contact that I bought the dankest kind buds that were grown indoors in Colorado and brought down. I would buy an oz about once a month because I only smoked by myself at my house. I would pack a small bowl in the A.M. when I woke up and smoke about half of it. I would be high until 12:30-1:00. When I got home from work about 7:00 I would finish off that bowl and smoke one more and be high until I went to bed about 12:00-1:00. Now that oz would run me $370 but it was sold at 120/quarter. It was well worth the bucks. I smoked like that everyday for over a year solid before I started modding my car and figured that 400/mo. would be better served on my vehicle. I have smoked about 3 times in the last 8 months. I miss it every now and then but when I do, I just get in my car and take a stroll down some nice twisties around my house and I feel good about my decision. I also used to be a High Times reader on a regular basis and Alaska had the highest arrest rate for Marijuana than any other state based on population. I have a good friend who is serving 20 years in prison and has to serve a minimum of 95% of that time. His family was wealthy and he had regular access to cash so he decided to get into the drug game, hard. He was carrying 8 1lb bricks that were about 4x4x1 inch up to his college in N. Carolina every week. Then he got into selling coke and X and I have seen a kilo at his house getting ready to be broken down into crack, and a Freezer bag full of X pills. The DEA and Henry Co. Swat kicked in the door to his parents house and dragged his ass out. The year leading up to his arrest he told me he made around 300k off of his drug sales. His parents just about went broke paying for his defense, if they hadn't hired the lawyer and spent the money that they did he would probably be in the pen for life. Just a heads up that arrests do get made and lives do get ruined and it can start from selling just a little bit of pot, peoples greed gets the best of them and before long they don't make wise decisions at all. Just wanted to post a bit of my experience while we had a thread going.

Well, I've got to say I have enjoyed marijuana from the first time I tried it. However, there was a point where things got really dry and I had an aquaintance that introduced me to cocaine, I hit it hard for about 2 months b/c I liked to get altered but couldn't find any pot. I realized one day that I did not want to be doing that. I told my parents what had been going on, let it all out and made a decision to remove myself from where I was living and not to fool with the stuff again. I haven't and feel very proud that I stopped. I was on the verge of becoming very addicted, I spent about $400 one week on coke, that's when I looked in the mirror and asked myself what the fuck are you doing? It's not easy to stop doing something you like and can afford to do. Still to this day I will get a feeling out of the blue that makes me yearn for the feel of a run going down my throat and the numbness that goes with snorting a big line, but in the end I know I am a better person for not doing it.

Sorry these posts have been so long, but drugs were a very large part of my life. I still have to resist the temptation because I never did hit bottom, I got out before it came to that. I stopped when I was still enjoying the shit out of it. So when I start talking about it it's almost like therapy.

well, I have to say I smoked marijuana for the first time when I was 14.. and did it consistently through high school.(on weekends) and continued until I was about 20 w hen I was 18 I tried "X" and liked it.. I only did it like 4 or 5 times though...

It's funny, I guess most people have the perception that you can automatically spot someone who uses drugs. This is just not true. I worked, payed my bills, interacted with family all the while under the influence of drugs. Anyone I didn't want to know about my habits never did know.

One final thing and I'm done in this thread. Don't be afraid to intervene in a friend or family members life if you see them being consumed by drugs. Even if you suspect it, find out. My best friend started hanging out with people that I knew used Ice (methamphetamine for the uninformed) He began using it regularly. Because I was so easily swayed by my love for coke and weed, he talked me into doing it once. I knew that night that I either had to do something or cut hiim loose for good. I couldn't let my best friend go down that road, especially not with that stuff. I talked to him and he said the same old thing, I don't have a problem, I don't use it that much. Bullshit. He had scabs on his arms and face from scratching the "ice bugs", he lost quite a bit of weight. I made a decision that many of you may feel was a bitch thing to do. I went to his mother and sat her down. I explained to her what the drug was, who he was doing it with, what to look out for, and I also told her that I was not an innocent in all of it. I told her what I had been through and done. It was not an easy thing to do, however, she confronted him and he broke down, admitted to what he was into and changed his situation. He went to real estate school and is working for his mom now and doing well. He still smokes buds but I can live with that as long as he keeps his life on track and is doing well. The best advice I can give is do whatever it takes to get your friends/loved ones off of drugs, even if it means "ratting", or telling someone else that you feel can help. I was prepared to go to the police if that's what it meant to save his life. You may not agree with my tactics but I do not regret it for one minute and I am proud as hell of what I did.

IT WAS SHORTLY AFTER THAT I LOST MY FIRST FRIEND DUE TO A HEROIN OVERDOSE.

IT CRUSHED ME, I KNEW THAT I WAS A STRONG INFLUENCE IN HIS LIFE AND IF MY DUMBASS ONLY OPENED MY MOUTH AND TALKED TO HIM ABOUT HIS PROBLEM I COULD HAVE SAVED HIS LIFE.. I STILL DRIVE BY HIS HOUSE FROM TIME TO TIME AND LET HIM KOW IM SORRY..

WHO KNOWS, I COULD HAVE PREACHED SOBRIETY TO HIM AND IT MAY NOT HAVE WORKED.. BUT I DIDNT EVEN TRY AND THAT WAS REALLY HARD TO DEAL WITH.. YOU DID THE RIGHT THING.. BECAUSE IF YOU DIDNT YOU R FRIEND MAY BE DEAD LIKE MINE AND THAN YOU WOULD HAVE AN ASS LOAD OF GUILT TO LIVE WITH FOREVER AND EVER
