What many people don't know is that in the State of Georgia the CONSTITUTION clearly says that a jury is supposed to judge based on two things: THEIR interpretation of the law and the facts. The key word there being INTERPRETATION. No judge ever reads that as part of his/her instructions to the jury. Therefore the jurors think that what the judge/lawyer tells them IS the law just IS, no room for common sense in their minds just judging based on facts presented in the case. That is just wrong not only legally, but also morally.
This kid doesn't belong in jail at all. He had consentual sex with someone basically his own age, both minors. Just because she suddenly regretted doing it because there was video of her acting like a ho doesn't change the fact that she consented to it to begin with. According to people that have seen the video itself, she never once said "no". So what's the big hoopla about that? Didn't we all do that when we were 15-17? Why is it suddenly that this guy has to be labeled a child molestor for the rest of his life over it?
It's not right IMO.
