Yes its the same guy. Shortly after he was convicted the law was ammended to prevent this from happening again, however the courts refused to reverse the sentence even though it was clearly unfair. Even worse was the fact that the DA had such a weak rape charge against Wilson that they tacked on the child molestation charge to insure some form of conviction.
