If you read my posts you'd see I said nothing about racism and everything about being offensive. If you have advertisers on your show who pride their company on the diversity of their employees and their customer base then a really really dumb move would be to go out and offend those people. Was it racist? No Stupid? Absolutely and as I said before he is finding that out the hard way.

I think that it is the comapnies decision to fire him if he isn't portraying the image they expect. I don't think it should go to a congressional hearing tho. So the good news to me is that it was a company decision.

true, they were about to waste our tax dollars on this bullshit
the company will realize it was stupid when their profits go down though... they'll have to build up a consumer base for whoever they replace him with.

p.s. wasnt it sharpton (maybe not, been a while since i heard this) that offered that black slut of a stripper who accused the duke lacrosse team, who btw had all of their charges dropped today, a college scholarship? but ill bet anything that the prosecution wont pursue false allegations charges on that nappy headed hoe....why? b/c shes black....wouldnt want to piss the adultering jesse jackson off now would we?

That is very true, but did any one hear Imus tie in Spike Lee to the remark. No one here has brought that up. I do not have the exact quote, but it was along the lines of "It's like a Spike Lee Joint out there", then his co-host threw in the "jiggaboo" line.

Radio show host alot of times discuss what they are going to say on the cast before they air........I FEEL THIS WAS SCRIPTED FOR REACTION BY THE LISTENERS, HE GOT A REACTION FROM THEM, AND THE SHOW....dropped

He is an ignorant person for saying it, and the co-host....


I am still debating on how to call his comment, but either racist or ignorant, it should not have been said.......he offened the team and the school community

Fuck that. I grew up in California where I WAS THE MINORITY. There weren't many white people in my school.

Most "minorities" don't know how it really feels to be the "hated minority". Hence the reason why I get pissed off at racist and people pulling the race card too quickly.

im right there with everyone else, for the most part, it was an ignorant slip up....do i really care? no...imus is a shock jock, this is what he does for a living.....it should be expected....the only reason he lost his show is b/c sponsors are starting to back out...if the sponsors stay the show stays...simple as that

Sadly, Sharpton has followers of all races. He is a very educated man with a strong and wild opinion, GOOD and BAD....
