al sharpton is on the o'reilly report right now and they just asked him about the issue of high school dropout for african americans in inner city's.
He addressed it for 3 seconds and said they were doing things about it then completely avoided it and continued to talk about don imus.
Al Sharpton likes seeing himself on TV. period.
The only thing Imus did wrong was taking my statement.
say that again after you watch their stock the following daysQuote:

BTW, I'm still waiting for an answer to the question about the real problems that face the black community.
All I have to say is.. know the consequences of your actions. Regardless of it being right or wrong it was offensive and oh yeah.. there are decision makers out there in companies that buy air time who are BLACK, I guess he didn't realize that. Times have changed..
Personally I like this.. the government kept their nose out of it and the market made the decision. These companies pay for airtime on your show so they have the right to pull their advertisements when they do not agree. It was wrong to say and he's suffering the consequences.. I have zero sympathy
Not that I fully support Jesse or Al, but I'm curious as to how you think they're being paid for bringing attention to an issue?Quote:

Now lets see the remark was not racist..correct? Nappy headed. Now i wouldnt say a white person saying that is racist its more so........ummm........idiotic? Moronic? More so just simply disrespectful. "Nappy headed" is simply and easily directed towards black people. By him saying that does it make him a racist? No. By him saying it for millions to hear does it make him a racist? No. It simply reveals his lack of character and respect for a different cultural background. Ignorance.....so i guess that makes him a nigger? Correct?
The actions and publicity that have arisen from this small act of ignorance I believe are unfair and unnecessary. Of course the word would have gotten out about what he said and eventually he would pay in one way or another for his actions. People make mistakes, shit happens. He simply could have been trying to maybe be funny and didnt realize how much of an impact saying what he said would have? I dunno. So what is it, does he not care about or respect others? Or did he just not know what he was saying was wrong? No one knows but him. So in that respect all you can do is let him go on and be. If you dont like what he said dont support him. Simple as that.
Hell yeah +1 :goodjob:Quote:

If a black radio personality would have called them nappy headed hos would we be having this conversation?
I just jumped on Killer and Kelly for being racists today. What Imus did was stupid, not racist.
