    No more chinchillas.

Once we get used to our schedule, he will take new customers...but it will be choice jobs. Mostly tuning and in-n-out jobs. Things that won't have to sit at the shop. So you will be able to get tuned.

No wonder he can not pay you running a shop like that. Let me guess your techs take 3 weeks to do a custom turbo setup.

So hire more techs, if you guys are as good as you say you are then hire someone to run the shop, and get a bigger shop. Or open another shop. You have a two page waiting list, but you are not taking new clients. I would not want people waiting and going to another shop. From what I hear you do good work, but you are not the only ones. If you owned a restaurant and had people out the door every night, would't you just make it bigger or open one up across town?

There aren't any good techs. We have hired many and still have the same one that started with the shop. You can't just trust anyone to hire and work on cars and be at your shop when you aren't around.

It's not even like that anyways. The race schedule is tough this season. We are paid drivers....none of us need to need to be at the shop, per say. I'm just being a snotty girl right now. That's the real deal. I'm trying to be stubborn and prove a point like women do and you are calling me out on some shit and making me spill my beans GAWD. I made a mistake by posting this....but whatcha gonna do now

There are good techs out there...hell I am one. You just have to find them. The problem with a tech working in an after market shop like yours is that someone with talent and skill will want good pay, benefits, and job security. If the economy ever crashes businesses like yours have a hard time getting by. Also "sports" like drifting, monster truck racing, drag racing are all but over.

If the economy goes to hell people will spend money on keeping cars on the road. There is a good base for business, then add on tuning and aftermarket modding. Hell give your work a limited warranty and people will come from around the country to have you make thier cars fast. Believe me I have been in the car business for a while and always wanted to open a tune shop. I have been researching it for years.

You guys have a business which is good, but not being able to find good techs around here I can not believe. You need to buy good help, we don't spend as much money as we do on training and tools to get paid 16 bucks an hour.
