Try commuting from Gainesville to Norcross, Gainesville to Suwanee, then Gainesville to Buckhead for 2 years....then Gwinnett County to Buckhead for nearly 2 years. (Don't forget about the time I did it for 2 weeks with NO clutch after completely destroying a Stage III clutchmaster when I put the LSD in) ...Then Gwinnett County to Smryna for 4 months.
So why on earth would someone let you borrow a car to rag out on rough roads? ...To someone that's not comfortable driving a M/T in the same conditions?
