ur right, i'd drive eleven miles through the mountains in my car... dragons tail is 11 miles actually....

cades cove is a animal "sanctuary/habitat" half of it is rutted out dirt roads.. a couple places u have to cross some creeks in...

if it was a truck and a stick.. not a problem... a lowered hatch on the other hand... negatory...

her lx would probably make it... but this place is pretty crowded... there's a lot of stop and go.. stop and go in a stick is no fun....

so before u think u got me.. know what ur talkin about bub...
hahaha, i've driven 200,000+ miles with a stick. Rough roads you say? My 1st Gen integra 4 door holds the National Forest Service road "record" of 94mph. Yes, that would be dirt...as in gravel with a 400+ foot drop off on one side. You wanna talk about traffic? Try commuting from Gainesville to Norcross, Gainesville to Suwanee, then Gainesville to Buckhead for 2 years....then Gwinnett County to Buckhead for nearly 2 years. (Don't forget about the time I did it for 2 weeks with NO clutch after completely destroying a Stage III clutchmaster when I put the LSD in) ...Then Gwinnett County to Smryna for 4 months.

So why on earth would someone let you borrow a car to rag out on rough roads? ...To someone that's not comfortable driving a M/T in the same conditions? I guarantee you her car would do just fine and never bottom out if driven correctly.
