I will say it, unless you let it...

If I don't hold you to a lesser standard, and allow you to earn your respect and position in society, and you don't think that I owe you something because of insane acts that were committed YEARS ago, then it shouldn't have any effect on either of us.
There are people that can't let it go, and they only hurt themselves. On both sides...
    Here, hold my beer!

True you may love everyone equally but not everyone has the same perception as you. Just to let you know some ways slavery affects us nowadays

    -affirmative action
    -The constitution
    -Welfare
    -Bill of rights
    -Voting
    -Racism
    -slavery laws worldwide.
    -Black holidays

Sure it's a different day and age but slavery did happen, Sure it might not affect us directly but it sure does affect us indirectly weather you agree with it or not. It's the past and i have put the past behind me but some black people dwell on the fact that we used to be slaves and those are the same black people that feel the need to have affirmative action, welfare, and equal rights laws.

Ever heard of the jim crow laws back in the day? Yeah our own government isn't passed slavery yet
