    I've said it a million times. There are just as many racist black people as there are white, green, and blue people. Actually both use the same excuse for being racist.....something "someone" else did years ago to somebody is the reason why they are the way they are TODAY....

    We don't live in a world filled with color blind people. So if you want to be treated equal to anyone, don't make COLOR the basis for anything. That includes TV, awards, pageants, history months, etc.

    If someone wants to truly learn about MY culture, why do they have to be remind of it by a "month"? If you want to learn about my Latin heritage, ask me. If that means you think that wearing your hat sideways, your pants down to your ankles, blinged out teeth, and talking to where noone understands what the fuck you're saying is "good"......then keep on keeping on, but you have no damn room to complain IMO then.

    How come it is called BLACK HISTORY MONTH? Shouldn't it be AFRICAN AMERICAN MONTH? I mean so many people bitched to have AFRICAN AMERICAN status even though I don't know what a AFRICAN AMERICAN is... is there a AFRICAN AMERICAN country/land/territory? So if there aren't any BLACKS in the US why is it BLACK HISTORY MONTH?

    why do they label themselves african??? shouldn't it be more like the COUNTRY they came from.. not the land mas..

    i call myself american.. not north american.... and further more.. if u were born here YOUR AMERICAN not anything else...

    no i agree i just think that if they want to be called AFRICAN AMERICAN shouldn't their month be the same? thats just me... its kinda like people immigrating to US which 1st language is english yet they will only use spanish

    Those that truly believe that the other 11 months are "white" months are not only racist, but ignorant also.

    And to be african american, you must hold citizenship in both. It has nothing to do with color, atleast for those that aren't racist. I know a white african american.


    And as far as repremands, I want mine for the wrongful enslavement of my peoples in african history. I take cash and PayPal + the 3% of course.


    There will always be racism, but if we could stop the special treatment of any race then it wouldn't be on a national level. It would be reduced to only the ignorant, and possibly one day be completely phased out. But one thing is for sure, as long as there are laws or policies for the special treatment of any race for any reason, we will never be able to move on.

    And yes, black history month is special treatment since there is not a month to focus on the history of all the other races.
