    Default Sure is a shame....

how much blatant public disrespect our current president is receiving by his adversaries. You don't have to like him, but at least have the decency to respect our current commander in chief.

Yeah, no one ever disrespected Bush, or any other president for that matter.

How do you expect people to react when he is constantly berating and belittling those who don't subscribe to his ideology? I mean, how often do you see a sitting president reprimand the Supreme Court Justices during a SOTU address? As much as he'd like to believe he is one, he's not a dictator or a king.

    You're referring to Jan Brewer?

The way the AP reported it she asked him to come visit the border next time he came though AZ, he got visibly upset, responded by bringing up something she wrote in a book, she corrected him, they parted ways.

He's a big boy I'm sure his feelings weren't hurt.

A high level of respect has to be earned, what i mean is that throughout history respect has been given to those who have been found to be loyal, honest, trustworthy, and done the right thing even though it was not popular. Respect much like trust can be taken away when one constantly lies to the public's face. I give respect to those who have authority over me, but when they give me reason to doubt them...all respect goes out the window. just my .002

You are going to explain why I should respect his punk ass now?

What has he done to earn respect? Please dont tell me I should respect him because he is president. I havent respected a person squatting in the Whore House yet. I am too young to have any real recollection of Reagan.

I guess they had more respect for Bush. Maybe Obama would like to sit down and figure things out with Brewer and Joe Wilson. I'm sure he could convert them with the great ideas and positive messages he reads off the teleprompter.
