1.) Osama Bin Laden is probably dead by now. People don't live that long on dialysis, especially when they have to hide in mountains and caves while they're on it.
2.) The real problem with our policies in the middle East is that we try to exert our influence by putting dictators/warlords into power. We trained and armed Osama to lead the Mujjahaden which eventually became the Taliban/Al Qaeda. We also installed Saddam Hussein into power in Iraq. And now Karzai in AFGN is threatening to buck on us. I think the problem with our nation building is that we do little more than install a "yes man" into power. When we invade a place or support a resistance, we need to create a power structure that doesn't enable dictators and terrorists.
