I can't believe the ignorance of someone saying "because of Obama being elected, there is no more racism". What a crock of shit, you might as well throw a "you people" in there with it 
. Just because one Black man makes it to the top, does not mean that opportunity improves across the board for all Black people. There are still inequalities in education, access to healthcare and social services, etc. It is meaningful as a symbol and an example, but when it comes down to brass tacks, racism is still a very real problem in America (for all races, including Blacks). Barack Obama is the exception moreso than the rule.
Some on this board have hair triggers when it comes to "reverse racism" against White people.
Really guys, put the shoe on the other foot and imagine yourself as a Black person living in a 600 year legacy of slavery, exploitation, lynchings, discrimination and disenfranchisement. Racism, and the scars left from it will take generations to heal.
