Blacks votes would have still been in the high number range without a black democrat candidate. If you look at previous voting precentage with blacks, you will see it has been rising since the 90's. So I don't understand how it comes as a surprise that more blacks have been coming out to vote. Just look at every ethnic group and you would see a rise in ppl coming out to vote.
