agreed threads like these are stupid and pointless and usually motivated by people who know nothing about the subject at hand

The black vote didnt win the elction for him but the black vote did make the results more lopsided. A couple of historicly red states went blue by less than the number of newly registered black voters. I believe Indiana and Virginia were 2 of them.

I would have MUCH less of an issue with them opening their mouths if they were just as quick with an apology when they are proven wrong as they are with an accusation.

What about Reginald Denny or the other guy that was pulled out of his car and nearly beaten to death during the LA riots? You can also admit to the fact that we rarely, if ever, hear about the racially motivated beatings and such that whites are not the aggressors.

Name 1 time where either of them have gone in and calmed down a situation. Where they have gone in and told everyone to not act on emotion and simply let our justice system work. Where they have ever called out the black person for their part in the situation.

I agree their are still racists of all races out there. I dont agree that racism is holding anyone back from accomplishing anything they want to accomplish.

1960 had an election that had plenty of religious undertones. Kennedy was a Catholic, and to date, the only Catholic to be elected President.

As far as race goes, we have never had a legitimate canidate of any other race before so of course race will be mentioned alot more.

Obama will have to work 10x harder than anyone other president. The same could be said of any other first. It is simple human nature to not trust something that has never been done before.

I didnt make that comment but I do agree. On the other hand, he is the face of this country until Jan 20. He said the right things at the right times. He was steadfast in pushing an agenda that made this country safer.

Obama simply played on emotions. The economy is going to the crapper so he designed his campaign around that. Gas prices were high so he told us to inflate our tires. Iraq is unpopular so he said we were losing and he would get us out. He did absolutely nothing special and benefitted greatly from being black. Bush actually got more flack from Scooter Libby than Obama did for his friendship with terrorists, racists, and devout anti-americans.

As far as his people first plan, thats a crock. Just like ANY politician, its relection first. If it happens to help someone thats fine and dandy. If it doesnt help anyone, or puts them in a worse situation, thats fine too if he/she gets re-elected. Obama is no different. Obama has as much character as any other politician, including Nixon.

Poor education comes from poor schools, that is a fact. You also need to look at the drop out rates though and see that poor students make up AT LEAST as much of the equation. I dont care what the quality of the school is, if you are willing to do the work then you will get the education. The quality of the eucation and the quality of the effort paralell one another, I dont care how crappy the school is. Plain and simply, the quality of the school may keep you out of Yale, but it wont keep you out of college.

Obama is a POS because of the people he associates with and mentors. Regardless of race, if he was a republican he wouldnt have even been close to winning the election, if he was white, he wouldnt have ven made the ticket in the primaries.
