There is rumors of other polls coming out this weekend showing Obamas lead erased in either a dead heat or 1 point behind. we will have to wait an see.
The scary thing is that independant voters are something like 20% are still undecided, they are going to make up who wins this election.

I guess now is the time to start getting worried.
nah i still think Obama has it, but it just shows how tight the race is going to be.
Ive always said it would be close.
what is more troubling to me is how divided the nation is. You realize that no matter who wins, 50% of the country is going to be upset. What is even more interesting is that if people are so tired of Bush, and people are so ready for change, why cant Obama close the deal, he should be 20 points ahead
crazy

People in this country don't even know what change is...Originally Posted by Mr. KiDD

the reason he's not far ahead....well there's a number of reasons:Originally Posted by Mr. KiDD

he associates with terrorist
he's racist (against whites and jews)
he associates with other racist
he's a socialist
he's a democrat
he's black
yeah...put someone like that against a POW, american hero, "TRUE AMERICAN," bush like individual...and the american people will have a tough time choosing.
totally disagree, i think the people that think hes a muslim is an extremely small percentage. BLacks are turning out in record numbers and i dont think it hurts him being an african american truth be told.Originally Posted by stephen
He does have radical associations with bill ayers, wether you want to believe it or now. Rev Wright is a racist and it was his pastor for 20 years, cannot deny that.
There are some issues with Obama and his history that he hasnt explained and has just brushed it off. that is resonating with people

So take the first two out of the equation. If the country is so ready for Change and that is Obama's platform and he has like 4X the money and has way exposure than McCain, why is he not ahead by at least 10 points.

I think you are confusing chain email and fox news. I understand it happens, I typically confuse MSNBC election coverage with an Obama ad.
You forgot he's the anti-Christ.
And we just can't have a colored socialist, terrorist anti-christ running for president.
Because everyone knows we were so much better off letting former oil company ceo's run the show.
Funny thing is - I bet a lot of my friends are racist and I will never know it. Does't make me 1. I like Michael Jackson - doesn't make me a child molester - and i like his music AFTER knowing what he was accused of. Bad example - but proves a point.

i dont think hes muslim, i dont think hes the anti-christ. i think he means well, but i also dont think he really understands what its going to take to be president.
hes flip flopped so many times, how can you sit there an say you TRUST anything he says?

But there isn't any clear cut guide line for what it takes to be president, and there never really has been. What is the perquisite for understanding what it takes to do that job? Experience? Numerous presidents have taken on the job without a lot of it to draw from.Originally Posted by Mr. KiDD
I think he flip flops because he's a thinking man. It shows he's changing his mind and considering the options. Why would I want to vote for someone to simply sticks to their guns no matter what. That would mean that even if they were wrong, they wouldn't change their mind, or be convinced of the opposing point of view.
The point of the president is that "we" as a whole, are selecting him for an exercise in applied judgment. While it might be unnerving that he changes his stance on some issues, it shows that he's reconsidering the idea, and making what he believes to be the best judgment based on the available information.
The presidency is a job that can sometimes require good improvisation skills.

More reason to stay away from Obama. Even given the fact that he is simply a typical politician, he should have better judgement than to assiciate with a known, unrepentant, domestic terrorist (Ayers), an obvious racist (Wright), and obvious America haters (Wright, Flager, Farakhan).Originally Posted by DrivenMind
I've seen his improve skills on something as unimportant as a town hall question, I wasnt impressed. He should have known that material up and down so there shouldnt be all of those "um"s. Now imagine what he is going to do if he has to improv on something serious, like one of those no precondition talks with the worlds tyrants.Originally Posted by DrivenMind
Unless they're polling the electorate.. could care less. Gore won the popular vote in 2000.. we see where he is at now.
