929 is a classic and timeless bike.... the custom paint does take away from that. What people said so far is the truth....... if you watch a auto auction, the cars that go for big money are stock.... you wont see a souped up 66 Chevelle go for 300k.... no matter how much they spent on it. A custom painted prostreet 1000hp beast chevelle wouldnt pull the price of a numbers matching 454ss with low miles....
Kind of the same deal with your bike. What you spent on it doesnt mean that's what it's worth. The problem with a custom bike is that it's customized for you. Me personally, i love 929s.... and i absolutely hate your paint job.... but i recognize that its perfectly executed and an extremely nice bike. I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way. If you had a stock 929 in mint condition with low miles... youd get your price....
but the type of person who would be willing to buy a bike that customized..... is gonna take that much money and buy something new. I know that upsets you, but its reality.
