    Default car paint any help will do

    I am going to start painting my car all the paint is still on there should I just take the time and send it or use a stripper to take all the paid off any help or advice for this build will be appreciated

    I suggest sanding it, paint will bond better with a rougher surface, thats just me suggesting lol

    I was going to take it down all the way and Ans lay down a new primer

    Okay...so just take off the clear and the paint even though i am changing the color

    Use a Dual Action air sander, or a good ole jitter bug sander. Start with 120-180 grit. Break down clear coat to base. Clean with tack cloth and wax grease remover solution. Then rime. Then sand with 200-400 grit. use tack cloth and wax greas remover. Paint base coat, dry and then clear coat it. Let the coats dry in between before layering another coat on top. Better to have a light coat than heavy dripping coat.
