Use a Dual Action air sander, or a good ole jitter bug sander. Start with 120-180 grit. Break down clear coat to base. Clean with tack cloth and wax grease remover solution. Then rime. Then sand with 200-400 grit. use tack cloth and wax greas remover. Paint base coat, dry and then clear coat it. Let the coats dry in between before layering another coat on top. Better to have a light coat than heavy dripping coat.
