Don't waste your time. I had one snap on me also at 80mph, I put a new belt on and she was good to go.
What I would do is put the belt on, put tension on it like it should be and then turn motor over before installing everything back on the car. You could even do a compression test to make sure nothing bent
good advice, slap a new one on (make sure the timing is right!) and check the compression if everything checks out then you should be okay. If it doesnt check out then it is the best time to build
