help please: 97 civic

right before the transmission went out on my brothers the speedometer went crazy.it will either show the right speed, 0 or be all over the place. all the other gauges work except that one. i checked the speed senor and tried putting in a different cluster and it all failed. also all the interior lights and headlights would start flashing. i thought maybe the tranny was cause it to malfunction but i recently swapped it out with a new one. in the end it the results were the same.
any help would be appreciated.

Check Ur relays and all Ur fuses

Sounds like a wiring issue in your dash harness.
