del sol trouble starting? 1.6zc
So, only recently it has been having trouble starting in the morning mostly... has new rotor button, cap, plugs wires, and battery so there is plenty of spark and power for it to start just refuses. So what else could it be? when it does start it sounds like its choking and struggles.
Spark plugs? Just saying. The electrodes could be bad.
the plugs are really only at most a year old . but i may try that anyway before it gets to extensive. its really weird just at random times and almost never has a problem once warmed up.
Fuel pump is probably going bad. It doesn't hold fuel pressure.

i wondered about that......
got a new fuel filter to try first trying the cheap before the expensive! plus i really don't want to take the interior out to get to the fuel pump so lazyness is a factor.
IAC valve?
Does it run okay when you get it running and warm, but just has trouble idling?

Could be headgasket going bad and water/coolent leaking on the piston and causing it not to fire? Just a thought

as far as the iac it just wont start to even begin to idle really early in the morning after sitting for 8 hours or so. and as for the headgasket its new maintainence is kept up with almost to well which is why i don't understand why it would act retarded.
It could still be going bad just one morning before u try to crank it pull a plug and get someone to turn it ove and see if water shoots out

Rather then pulling a plug to see if 'water shoots out', go to your local Autozone and rent a compression tester. Follow directions on box and compression test each cylinder. Then report back with the results.

lol, well timing is fine also everything checks out fine im no stranger to working on them. its number eleven! but back to the point, I replaced the fuel filter and everything seems to be working properly now we'll see if it holds up thanks for the help guys.
