I recently attained a 93 Del Sol. It has been lowered.. I believe on cut springs. I jacked the car up and I can't find any brand names.. and they look aged like they're stock. With the stock shocks. It rides/steers like crap. Rides semi-fine on the interstate, you just have to take it easy over bridges as to not bottom the car out.
The front lip sits 3"-3/4" off the ground. The header is 2"-11/16" off the ground. It's not easily daily drivable. So I'm now in the market to build the suspension back to spec.
I've heard a lot of people say look into the Skunk shock/spring set, but I was wondering what else I need to make the car more stable. I wouldn't mind the car coming up about an inch to an inch and a half. I just want to know the Right parts I would need to make it more handling friendly. Every slammed civic/teg/honda I've ever driven rides like a go cart, but they all had cut springs and stock shocks.![]()
