    Default INTEGRA IDLING PROBLEM

    ok i jus got the car the other day and it revs from like 1k -4k vrooom....vrooom...vrooom... etc. the range comes down as the car heats up from about 1-2.5?
    previous owner said that the iacv was replaced?
    good thing this thing doesnt have an exhaust. or this would be even more embarrassing...
    please help this shit is pretty annoying?

    iacv needs to be cleaned, and prolly a few more things in around the intake manifold 8D air leaking somewhere, or vaccum lines not on correctly or wrong

    he probably lied if he said it was replaced. thats one of few/main things that causes a surging idle.

    A freind of mine had a problem like that and it was a vacum leak.good luck

    i had a civic with cut off exhaust that did this.. very very annoying haha... took me forever to figure out what it was i replaced every sensor on the throttle body.. last thing i did was replace the whole throttle body off ebay. fixed the problem dude who worked at honda told me that the spring could be wore out causing this

    idle air control valve.

    service your throttle body, clean it a little with throttle body cheaner. do not go overboard.

    SOLVED : the FITV was completly loose and not screwed down at all... kinda figured it was the fitv considering the bottom hole on the tb was suckin in mad air. thanks guys. car idles like a champ... but now its overheating?!?! >.<
