Why does it matter? Well, why not pick a name and be done with it? That's easier, isn't it? What's going to happen when yall break-up? She's, you, or both of you are going to want to change it yet again just for giggles.
It's not about it being easy or hard to do. Its about people who change their screen names once a month just because they have some inside joke with their buddies....or because they did a shady deal and now are trying to hide from that....or because they are suddeny in love with someone on here......you name it, it's happened. There are only 3 people that do all name changes. If the other 2 want to do it and waste their time doing so, it's their perrogative.
My position is that if I don't see a valid reason to change the name, then I'm not going to do it. It's not that big of a deal IMO. It's a name on an internet forum. You want to talk about something that's not a big deal? A name on a forum is not a big enough deal to waste time on IMO.

I think it is best if most people change to a name that will always stick with them. ie real name, nick name, etc... sh*t that doesnt come and go. ie cars, age, years, etc...
