Removing spray paint from a hood?

Does anyone know how I can go about doing this without really messing up the original paint under it. The person that owned the car before my brother decided it would be a good idea to spray paint the hood black. Well I bought the car from my brother and couldn't stand it but dealt with it. Now it has started to peel off and you can see the red underneath so I would like to go ahead and get rid of all the spray paint. I was wanting to know what products I could get that would take the spray paint off and not damamge the paint underneath too much. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

u can use Grease Remover ....use the shop towel roll to clean it off..do not use Paint Thinner

Thanks. Yeah, I red some sites off google and yahoo and people were saying to use paint thinner but I figured it wouldn't be a good idea see as how it could mess up my original paint. +1 for you.

Sand paper. Then spray primer prep it good and get that shit painted at fucking maaco or something. That's what I would do.

i dont nkow who/what/where/why/how/nick news w5/when your talking about, but as someone who has personally removed 3 coats of pink spray paint + black racing stripes from a hundred dollar civic i bought as a daily driver with a shit ton of IIRC (been about 2 years) EZ off Oven cleaner and shop towels without harming the factory paint that was underneath and amazingly still in good shape ill continue to do it my way, and tell people to do it my way instead of sanding/buffing/in the long run painting because you sanded off too much clearcoat when in reality you just buff off the spray paint with oven cleaner and somehow it doesnt hurt the clearcoat.

even though we later jumped/set on fire/pulled the motor out of this car, the paint is still shiny.

systems are gay. just because something is expensive doesnt mean its good and vice versa. judging by the fact you actually DID list tint in your mod list im giong to guess you probably dont have anything near the proper enclosure to make use of that big of an amp, but what do i know.
