    Default Dragracing/Insurance

Weird topic, but my dad is a state farm insurance agent and he told me he doesnt want me to go to the drag strip, because if for some reason i lose control and wreck that i wont be covered. I do have full coverage insurance and eveything. Anyone know that this is 100% correct or what?

    Thanks

I was wondering about this myself as well. I'm almost positive they would have some kind of statement in their policy that would get them out of insuring a car in a situation like that but not positive. Anyone know for sure?

he is correct. racing and acts of war are not covered. you have to get specialty insurance. there are companies that sell race day coverage. track days can sometimes be considered driving school, so there may be a loophole as long as it's not listed as a "race day".
