    Default What do you think?

I currently own a 99 mitsu eclipse. Im thinking about selling it and getting a 91 CRX hf. First off how much do you think i can get one for. Second is how hard do you think it would be to typeR the car.

A CRX Hf is probably gonna be hard to find, but i would guess like $1000-$2000
If you wanna see about puttin on JDM parts I would check out passwordjdm.com

    They didn't have Type-R CRX's but they had Si-R's
You can get the front end conversion for about $1500
Then you can get other little JDM stuff from there if that's the route your going

The engine that came in those was the B16 with you can get anywhere from 800-1500 for the OBD-0 swap
Integra Type-R cam with the b18c5 and the Civic Type-R came with the b16b

    Hope this helps a little

Yeah my eclipse is n/a but i got some goodies on it. Ive got cams and cam gears , intake , exaust, you know just the basics. But my buddy has a crx with a LS in it and he let me drive and i fell in love with it. You think a CRX would be that much?? Like 2-3k

    Thanks for the info

one in good shape prolly would be...with an ls in it it would probably be like 2500 or 3.....but you can always find good deals jus take your time and look for em, because right when you buy one for like 2500, there will be another for less with the the same stuff

jus look through the for sale forum and see what's on there...new cars pop up like every 5 minutes

    good luck in your search

oh yeah...I have a friend with a Red CRX Si, with D16z6 in it, with cf hood, hx wheels, exhaust, stage 2 clutch, cam, cam gear, intake, 5" tach w/ shift light, racing seats, racing steering wheel, yellow bulb headlights, headers w/ header wrap, ls intake manifold and TB, ls master cylinder and some other stuff
    All for $2000
He ran a 15.0 at the track his first time going and that was with a dx tranny, If he had an Si tranny he would be well into the 14s......and that's with a SOHC!!!

the hardest thing is gonna be finding an HF.
The swap is easy but i wouldnt necessarily use a C5 (unless you already have one at your disposal)
id just put a GSR or a B16 in there (if you want VTEC off the bat) i personally would start off with an ever so easy LS swap.
after finding the car the next difficult thing is probably going to be wiring. especially seeing that the HF and DX dont have multi-point injection systems (or whatever they're called) you wont be able to use the stock harness or you may need to make modifications to the harness...
