W/ the VQ the A/C isn't going to work like it's suppost to, the solution is to switch the compressor with a timmer, totally ignoring the pressures for switching, that's only a matter of time. You'll get a check engine light because the cruise control won't work, that's a no go if you ever need emissions. I don't know it's your call.
My cruise control is out and I have no light. And the AC is perfectly fine in a VQ swap I drove. Dont know where you got your info.
