You need to check the float.
k ey in the igmition
You have an adjustment for the level of fuel that sits in the bowl..
Look into the little window and post back where the level is..
do i have to buy a FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR? the previous owner put the new fuel pump
or do i need a relay...relay switch or i think its called fuel pump relay ..or regulator ..idk?
some one help!!
i got the car running but too much fuel from the pump and idk if the previous owner didnt install right its connected straight to the fuse box?

is this what i need? AIRTEX 1R1047 Relay, Deaccelerate Fuel Cut-Off | eBay
Have you checked the Psi from the pump? Not gonna be much, I'd guess 2-5psi.
i mean i dont want to fuck up my carburetor and the car didnt start so i bought a new battery and distributor and had some guy that knows about carbs ...but didnt rreally know about car carbs and got my car running but he says the fuel pump is sendind to much fuel causing it to flood and when i put the key into the ignition you can hear the fuel pump just pumping with out me turning the car on....im guessing i need a fuel pump relay? but idk how to install that
Sell the car to someone who knows carbs.
A relay isn't going to fix your problem. If the pump is working, a relay isn't the answer.
IF the carb is flooding, it's because the float is stuck and/or sunk in the float bowl. Meaning it either has a whole punched in it, and it's filled with gas and not floating when the bowl is full, or the float needle is stuck.

Just because its a rebuilt carb doesn't mean its adjusted right. Honestly just pay someone that knows carbs to look at it. Assuming it has the correct fuel pump (low pressure) then the only thing that controls fuel level into the carb essentially is the float. So if its flooding thats the first place to look. If youre living in fear, just take it to someone.
if i can afford it ill see wassup
because i just lost my job only got bout 200 sumthing so idk
